Shoaib joined the team as Head Waiter back in November of 2000 and has been with the Tamarind of Mayfair for the better part of 2 decades. Rising through the ranks, Shoaib took on the responsibilities of Restaurant Manager, in 2013.

Chef Peter Joseph took on the role of Head Chef at Tamarind of Mayfair in August 2012. Having joined the team in 2004, Peter was a lynchpin of the team that restored and maintained Tamarind of Mayfair’s Michelin Star. Peter began his career in India and has vast experience in numerous kitchens.

Naresh joined the Tamarind team in 2006, coming from the Bukhara Kitchen at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Kathmandu. He began his stint as a Tandoor chef in 2006 and in 2012 was promoted to Sous Chef at the Tamarind of Mayfair.

Tazul’s meteoric rise up the Tamarind team ranks began in 2011 when he joined the team as Head Waiter. In two short years, he went on to become Supervisor and soon after was appointed as the Assistant Manager in 2013. His skill and dedication to the craft are both valuable assets, making him an integral part of the Tamarind family.

Having previously served as Assistant Bar Manager at Benares in Mayfair, Vishal joined Tamarind in 2014 as Assistant Manager. He brings with him over 11 years of experience in the industry.

Jitendra Sahu

Despite the fact that Jitendra only joined the Tamarind Collection in November of 2014, he is a valued team member who prefers to lead by example. As Restaurant Manager of Zaika of Kensington since its inception, he helped refine the concept of the restaurant. Jitendra brings with him close to 13 years of multi-national experience.

Reynauld Felder

Group Head Sommelier · Tamarind Collection

Reynald received his professional Sommelier training at Lycéehôtelier du Touque and went on to work as Sommelier for such names as Michael Moore Marylebone, Kettner’s Champagne Bar, Mint Lead Lounge and the Watermill restaurant in Northern Ireland. He joined the Tamarind team in 2014 as Head Sommelier and his expertise and extensive knowledge goes beyond just wine and spirits. His knowledge and inputs in restaurant management and kitchen too make him a highly valued member of the team.

Head Chef · Zaika of Kensington

Shoeb’s experience and familiarity with Awadhi culinary traditions made him the perfect choice for Head Chef at Zaika of Kensington. And although he has been with the Tamarind Collection for less than a year, already he has helped garner recognition for Zaika in the form of 2 AA Rosettes. Shoeb has previously worked for notable names both in India and London such as Benares in Mayfair.
